Green Energy Doors Open 2025
November 24, 2025 – Toronto, Ontario & Online
Ontario Sustainable Energy Association is hosting this one day event at Centennial College (also with remote access) as part of the Canada Climate Week Exchange. The event features a number of talks such as Fire Safety Essentials for Solar and Battery Energy Storage Systems, Waste Heat Recovery, ASHRAE Decarbonization Task Force, Living Wall and Solar Building Envelope. Better Buildings Boot Camp
July 7 to 11, 2025 – Toronto, Ontario & August 18 to 22, 2025 – Online
This free, one-week summer program (offered both in-person and online) features a number of sessions facilitated by professional and academic experts on various topics related to building. There will be daily collaborative group discussions and activities. The event is open to graduates from Canadian universities and colleges from any field of study.

Canada’s Net-Zero Forum 2025
June 25 to 26, 2025 – Ottawa, Ontario
Transition Accelerator is putting together one of the biggest conferences this year focused on net-zero emissions. This conference will bring together a wide variety of civil society leaders, academic, indigenous, government and industry professionals to discuss the potential of net-zero solutions and how Canadians can drive change at a larger scale. Over 250 industry leaders are coming together to determine how Canada can achieve a net-zero future.
CAGBC – Building for Lasting Change
June 18 to 20, 2025 – Vancouver, BC
The Building for Lasting Change conference, hosted by the Canada Green Building Council, will take place between June 18 and 20 in Vancouver. The conference will explore a variety of issues associated with the business and technical side of green buildings. You’ll be able to gain insights into evolving green building policies in Canada and in the rest of the world.
You’ll also get to discover about rating system updates, the latest green innovations, best sustainability practices and more. It’s all about connecting influential parties and experts with the goal of reaching a zero-carbon output.
Retrofit Canada Conference
June 9 to 10, 2025 – Toronto, Ontario
Previously held in Vancouver, the Retrofit Canada Conference will be held in Toronto this year. In line with previous events, it will still focus on opportunities, best practices, challenges, industry updates and the lessons learned across the retrofit community in Canada.
This year’s event will focus on adapting existing homes and buildings to help ensure greater climate resilience as well as overall decarbonization. This is the only event this year designed specifically for the retrofit sector in Canada.
Grey to Green Conference
May 22 to 23, 2025 – Vancouver, BC & June 19 to 20, 2025 – Toronto, Ontario
These two-day events in Vancouver and Toronto are intended for architects, landscape architects and green infrastructure professionals. They offer a great opportunity to network with like-minded professionals while exploring the latest innovations in green infrastructure. The event will feature presentations, panel discussions, case studies led by experts in their fields.
Energizing Efficiency Conference
May 7 to 8, 2025 – Fredericton, New Brunswick
The Energizing Efficiency Conference takes place in Fredericton between May 7 and 8th, and is known as Atlantic Canada’s premier energy efficiency conference. Billing itself as being “At the intersection of technology and behaviour” the conference is about exploring how technology and human behaviour can create more sustainable energy solutions. This is its sixth year operating, and it brings together leaders in the energy efficiency industry to spread their knowledge.
Issues are related to communities, buildings, or transportation, they will be discussed here. The conference this year will combine a variety of keynotes from many different industry visionaries, along with plenty of ask an expert sessions so you can get all of your most pressing questions answered.
Passive House Canada Conference
May 5 to 7, 2025 – Ottawa, Ontario
The 7th annual Passive House Canada Conference takes place in Ottawa from May 5 to 7, 2025, marking the first time the event will be held in the nation’s capital. With the theme “Building Our Low Carbon Future,” the 2025 conference will focus on climate action, health-focused design and innovations in sustainable building practices. It offers a compelling platform for professionals across architecture, construction, policy and urban planning to explore how Passive House principles are shaping the path toward net-zero carbon communities.
The event will feature a program including keynote sessions, expert panels and hands-on workshops. Sessions will be divided across three tracks: technical excellence, policy innovation and community resilience. Presentations will cover real-world projects, such as deep energy retrofits and prefabricated panelization, as well as embodied carbon reduction strategies and scalable solutions for affordable housing.

Beyond Talk, Towards Action: Climate Caucus Summit 2024

Beyond Talk, Towards Action is an online conference or summit that will take place from 12 to 3:30 PM on May 2. From one coast of Canada to the other, this conference brings together a variety of local elected leaders that represents all sorts of communities throughout Canada.
The main question here is how to tackle climate action and prepare for the near future. There is a clear focus on crises biodiversity, housing and affordability here. This conference aims to gain valuable insights on how to move forward with eco-friendly building, without sacrificing indigenous reconciliation or emissions reductions.
Alberta Energy Efficiency Summit
April 29, 2025 – Alberta
The Alberta Energy Efficiency Summit provides all attendees with a place to discuss, learn, collaborate and network in relation to the latest green building trends and the deployment of energy efficient technologies, processes and products for all sorts of buildings, whether commercial, industrial or residential.
The conference will host a number of industry innovators, experts and field leaders, as they discuss both the environmental benefits and economic impacts of energy efficiency in Alberta. This year will feature discussions focused on providing Alberta with a combination of energy efficiency and sustainability.
Renewables in Remote Communities Conference
March 25 to 28, 2025 – Whitehorse, Yukon
The Renewables in Remote Communities Conference will take place in Whitehorse from March 25 to 28.
It showcases a meeting of government, industry and utilities professionals, as well as indigenous leaders, who come together to create an open dialogue on renewable energy development, particularly in remote indigenous communities across northern Canada.
The goal is to help support and accelerate an indigenous-led transition to clean energy.
