With events happening around the country and online it’s easier than ever to attend one. Here they are, listed by date.

International Conference on Civil and Environmental Engineering (ICCEE)

December 9 to 10 – Toronto, Ontario

The International Conference on Civil and Environmental Engineering (ICCEE) will take place December 9 to 10, 2026, in Toronto, Ontario. Organized by the World Academy of Science, Engineering and Technology, this in-person conference brings together researchers, engineers and industry professionals working across civil and environmental disciplines.

The program will explore topics such as sustainable built environments, infrastructure engineering, disaster risk reduction, water resources management, environmental modelling and green building design. The 3rd Canadian International Conference on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs2026) will take place October 28 to 29, 2026, in Toronto, Ontario, hosted at Toronto Metropolitan University. This international peer-reviewed conference brings together researchers, policymakers, NGOs, industry leaders and students to bridge research, policy and practice in support of the United Nations 2030 Agenda.

Key themes include climate action, renewable energy, inclusive economic growth, sustainable cities, gender equality, circular economy strategies and innovation. SDGs2026 provides a global forum for sharing research, building partnerships and translating knowledge into measurable action towards a more sustainable future.

Adaptation Canada 2026

September 22 to 24 – Toronto, Ontario

Adaptation Canada 2026 will take place September 22 to 24 in Toronto at the Westin Harbour Castle. Now in its third edition, it is Canada’s premier national conference focused on climate adaptation and resilience.

The event will bring together more than 1,000 participants from government, business, academia and community organizations to exchange ideas and share practical solutions. 

Through panels, workshops, city-wide tours and curated networking opportunities, delegates will explore strategies to strengthen climate resilience across sectors. Adaptation Canada 2026 aims to foster collaboration, break down silos and support meaningful, long-term action to protect communities, infrastructure and the economy from growing climate impacts.

DBMC 2026 to 17th International Conference on the Durability of Building Materials and Components

July 20 to 24 – Montréal, QC

The 17th International Conference on the Durability of Building Materials and Components (DBMC 2026) will take place July 20 to 24, 2026, in Montréal, Québec. Hosted by Concordia University in partnership with the National Research Council Canada, this prestigious event returns to Canada for the first time in nearly 25 years.

The conference will focus on the durability and performance of building materials and systems, with key themes including climate change resilience, decarbonization, greenhouse gas reduction and emerging construction technologies. Attendees can expect plenary sessions, technical presentations, workshops and international collaboration, bringing together global experts to support more sustainable and resilient construction practices.

International Conference on Waste Reduction in Construction Engineering (ICWRCE-26)

July 11 to 12 – Québec City, Québec

The International Conference on Waste Reduction in Construction Engineering (ICWRCE-26) will take place July 11 to 12, 2026, in Québec City in hybrid format. 6th Annual Retrofit Canada Conference

June 24 to 25 – Halifax, Nova Scotia

Previously held in other major Canadian cities, the 6th Annual Retrofit Canada Conference will be held in Halifax this year at the Halifax Convention Centre. In line with previous events, it will continue to focus on opportunities, best practices, challenges, industry updates and lessons learned across the retrofit community in Canada.

This year’s event will focus on accelerating Canada’s sustainable built environment, with dedicated conference tracks, industry solution forums and expanded networking opportunities. It remains the only national event designed specifically for the retrofit sector in Canada, bringing together policymakers, investors, builders, planners and technical experts to drive meaningful change.

CAGBC – Building Lasting Change

June 17 to 19 – Montréal, QC

The Building Lasting Change conference, hosted by the Canada Green Building Council, will take place between June 17 and 19 in Montréal, Québec, at the Centre Sheraton, and will explore a variety of issues associated with the business and technical side of green buildings.

You’ll be able to gain insights in terms of evolving green building policies in Canada, as well as how performance-based requirements are shaping the market.

Energizing Efficiency Conference

Known as Atlantic Canada’s leading efficiency conference, the Energizing Efficiency Conference takes place at the Fredericton Convention Centre between May 26 and 27, 2026.

The event brings together leaders from across the energy efficiency and electrification sectors to share knowledge, insights and forward-thinking solutions that are shaping the future of sustainable systems.

Passive House Canada Conference

The 8th annual Passive House Canada Conference is set to take place in Richmond, British Columbia, from May 25 to 27, 2026. This year’s theme, “Thriving Communities, Lasting Value,” will focus on resiliency and how it relates to cost, community, comfort and capacity in high-performance building practices.

It offers a compelling platform for professionals across architecture, construction, policy and urban planning to explore how Passive House principles are shaping resilient, low-carbon communities.

BuildGreen Atlantic 2026

April 27 to 28 – Halifax, Nova Scotia

BuildGreen Atlantic 2026 will take place in Halifax, Nova Scotia, on April 27 and 28, 2026. Presented by the ASHRAE Halifax Chapter, this conference, tradeshow and networking event advances the design, construction and operation of greener buildings across Atlantic Canada.

The first day will feature pre-conference workshops and building tours of local high-performance facilities, followed by an opening reception. The second day will focus on the full conference and tradeshow at the Halifax Convention Centre.

The event brings together building owners, architects, engineers, designers, manufacturers, trade professionals, policymakers and students.
