Archon was established over 20 years ago, but its roots can be traced back more than 60 years. Doug Johnson, one of the founding partners along with Robert Di Maio and Anthony Gyemi, started his original firm back in 1953 as Johnson & McWhinnie Architects and completed many significant and exceptional pieces of Modern Architecture in Windsor.
Archon is a member of the Canadian Green Building Council (CaGBC) and have LEED Accredited Professional (AP) status. We strive to include sustainable design elements in all our projects whether they are formally pursuing LEED accreditation, LEED equivalency or simply intended to achieve overall reduction to the building’s environmental footprint through good design principles, site selection and orientation, selection of equipment, durability and energy conversation.
