Kw PowerLogic is a Canadian owned company that focuses on renewable energy programs in Ontario. Incorporated in 2002, KWPL has primarily focused on solar technologies in response to Ontario Power Authority (OPA) renewable energy programs. From their past experience in which KWPL has been contracted to identify and secure land options, prepared site layouts, worked with permitting and planning departments, conservation authorities and environmental and structural/electrical engineers, KWPL has assembled a team of professionals able to efficiently provide full Engineer, Procure, Construct and Manage (EPCM) services for all aspects of solar energy projects. In particular they have complete familiarity with the OPA Feed InTariff (FIT) solar energy programs, and work daily with OPA, Hydro One and other private utilities to approve projects and get them connected to the electrical grid.
KWPL has provided full and partial EPCM services for projects ranging from less than 10kW ground and roof-mount solar systems, through to larger roof mount systems, up to 500kW, for both flat and sloped roofs. KWPL was amongst the first to have completed a FIT roof-mount project and have it connected and reliably producing power to the Ontario grid. There are now several projects up to the 250kW size completed and operating successfully with FIT contracts. Supply of large ground-mount systems of 10mW are currently under negotiation with successful proponents to the large-solar category of the OPA FIT program. From their headquarters in Brussels, KWPL is administering projects either completed or underway in all parts of southern Ontario.
KWPL has established strong relationships with quality solar product suppliers, allowing them to bring superior technology to their projects and to meet construction schedules as planned. KWPL maintains warehouse space to help ensure the supply of project components is available when needed. Construction teams are trained in all aspects of solar installation and experienced in their fields.
In addition to projects designed for supplying electricity to the grid, KWPL also provides off-grid solutions via the supply of a small self-contained housing unit complete with solar heating and electrical capacity. Designed and manufactured by Galaxy-Energy Americas, these units are targeted at basic and recreational housing markets where grid infrastructure is inadequate or undesirable. Another Galaxy-Energy product, the in-roof solar panel system, in which the panels are the roof, is also supplied and installed by KWPL.
