Job Description
We’re looking for a talented journalist with an eye for news and a passion for green building to write informative news reports on current events related to green building, architecture, design and sustainability.
The successful candidate will have strong writing and research skills, a background in journalism, be self-motivated and submit news articles in a timely manner.
This is a part-time, remote position.
Responsibilities
- Submit regular news reports on current events related to green building
- Consistently meet submission and revision deadlines
- Uncover newsworthy stories relevant to our readers
- Respond to editor feedback and revise submissions whenever necessary
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or related field
- Previous journalism experience is preferred though recent college graduates will be considered
- Strong writing and research skills
- Have a basic knowledge of CP style
- Experience covering green building is preferred
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, strong communicator
